At the heart of Odinga Fitness LLC is our founder, Javan Odinga, a beacon of passion and dedication in the fitness industry as a top personal trainer in Indianapolis.
Javan Odinga hails from Kenya but has become a Hoosier through his marriage to Kathleen. “At one point, I was in Qatar, my wife resided in the U.S., and my son was back in Kenya,” Odinga shares. “Now, being with my family is what I cherish most, as we are finally all together in one location.”
His journey in fitness and bodybuilding began in the early ’90s, marking the start of a lifelong commitment to health, strength, and the transformative power of personal training. His credentials, as an A.C.E. certified personal trainer and an A.F.A.A. certified group instructor, are a testament to his expertise and dedication to his craft.
A Global Journey in Personal Training
Javan’s experience spans over 18 years. He has worked across three continents: Africa (Kenya), Asia (Qatar), and North America. His background in personal training is diverse and rich. Javan’s competitive spirit shines in bodybuilding. He achieved notable success here. He won his first National Amateur Bodybuilding Association competition in the US. This was in Chicago, July 2015. Javan was also the first runner-up for Mr. Africa in 2010. He is always looking to challenge himself further.
Despite his achievements in competitive bodybuilding, Javan’s true passion is more personal. He loves working one-on-one with clients. He helps them tailor their fitness journeys to their individual goals. His approach to fitness is holistic and personalized. He focuses on muscle isolation exercises when necessary. But he always adapts to what his clients aim to achieve.
